Chinese New Year!!.. haha, the only thing i suppose is nice during this period of time are the ang paus' we are gonna receive.. I guess as people grow older, we tend to lose that feeling of anxiousness in anticipation of Chinese New Year.. those were the days where I used to help my family HAPPILY decorate the house, make sure everything is in place.. Now, i juz cant get myself to do all those anymore.. I juz feel that Chinese New Year or not, we still have to get through life, problems will still come whether u want it or not, coz its not like the time will stop for that period of 15 days and allow us to celebrate with no worries at all.. i know this is a very sad and pathetic way of thinking about Chinese New Year, and i know that ME being a Chinese should be happy and joyous of this festival.. Yet, i cant help myself but think otherwise.. No matter how hard i try, i never can think anything positive, choosing to look to the worst.. Its not like I have done nothing and fret about this, help books and internet articles have all been read and searched, yet i could not find a solution.. the bible helped abit, but it still did not change the fact that im an extreme pessimist!!

Anyway, cut the sad part out, lets juz leave it at that.. lets talk about Australian Open!.. My oh My! surprises after another came for us viewers to savour.. the second week of tennis was just as exciting as the first week, if not more.. Hingis losing wasn't a great thing, but at least she lost to a great player in Clijsters, and she did not lose without fighting.. Too bad for Clijsters that she had to withdraw her semi final's match against Mauresmo because she fell and hurt her ankle.. wat a waste and a sad end to her Australian Open charge.. On the womens' doubles!!.. believe it or not.. we have an Asian Grand Slam winner!.. The Chinese ladies struck gold against the more fancied opponent, Lisa Raymond and Stousier.. my question is, when is Malaysia gonna have a winner in a Grand Slam.. In fact, i should be saying this, When is Malaysia gonna have a Grand Slam participant.. honestly i am utterly disgraced by Malaysia's inability to produce capable tennis players in the international stage!.. Come On Malaysia!!

On the men's draw, Baghdatis continues his quest of being the unseeded player to win the Australian Open!.. he is truly amazing.. he took out 3 highly seeded players(Roddick seeded 3rd, Ljubicic seeded 7th and Nalbandian seeded 5th).. if he could go one better and beat Federer, i have nothing to say but salute him.. every round everyone brushed him aside as an easy opponent, yet he was able to kick their ass to bits!.. questions though has been raised as does he possess the knowledge to beat Federer? this is because he play based on the heart and the enormous support from the crowd, however his game lacks variety.. we will see.. the Men's Finals is on Sunday on Channel 82, people, stop watching Chinese New Year programmes and watch the Australian Open final!! For more info on the progress of Australian Open please visit www.australianopen.com!! Happy watching everyone and hope YOUR Chinese New Year is fun fun fun!..
