hey ppl, weekly report coming your way!.. ok, this is week 5 already, another 9 weeks to my finals for this semester, 24 days to due date of Macroeconomics assignment, 23 days to due date of week 10 Marketing report, 22 days to due date of Business Law assignment, 18 days to Marketing presentation day, 5 days to due date of Accounts B assignment and 2 days to Marketing week 6 report!!.. everything is lined up 'nicely' for me to enjoy the next couple of weeks..

Have you ever felt like that some one who is in charge of the event you are doing is a total asshole and is totally not dedicated in doing his/her job?.. I shall not pin point anyone here, but recently the club has been running an event.. and the officer is just being a pain in the ass, not because he does not approve our application or anything, its that he is so not doing his job as the officer properly.. he asked us to do the event this week, yet he oni gave us the list of participants this week, and not without constant calling and messaging before he pass it to us.. and on friday, where we wanted to see him, guess where he is?.. sick apparently, and his girlfriend had to message for him.. come on la, cant he just message us, how sick can a person be till he cant message?? I seriously hate these kinda species, holding the post and not doing their job properly.. This is one of 3 things I totally cannot tolerate and will get mad at!.. This is why I always shy myself away from all these things, because I know I cant tolerate it.. and if its not because the club is set up by my friend, I wont be bothered doing it either.. this brings me to my next point...

POLITICS.. school/college/university student politics.. whichever it is, it can get as complicated as the politics going on in the government.. I seriously don't understand why people want to get involve in it.. maybe I am just ignorant, but I don't feel the need to do so.. Most of the time, I regard these people as "too free nothing to do, waste time trying to gain popularity by dissing out rumours and conspiracy" (Zhen Han, 2006).. Not to generalise or anything, but most of the people that I know that are always involved in these kinda politics often gather in groups and talk about about other people and often praise themselves for their so-called 'genuis-ness'.. well, probably that's why their social circle is wide and mine, well, shall not be mentioned.. but the ratio is definitely weighted heavily on their side..

Spent the day alone at home today, whole family went to Melaka for a day trip.. I told them I needed to finish up my work.. But, of course I did not.. so the whole day, I spend sitting in front of the TV, just plainly watching whatever that is on the screen, with the air cond on at full blast and without any thinking, I just sat there.. mind wandered aimlessly while the eyes fixed on the TV set.. most of you will be thinking 'Man, this boy should get a life.. if my parents weren't at home, I would be partying like mad and hanging out with my friends OUT OF HOUSE!'.. well, in my opinion, no offence, are thought of someone that hadn't actually have a chance to be alone at home, so he/she is just thinking of what he/she wants to do when given that kinda freedom.. Honestly, its not like the tv dramas or the music videos where when the character's parents are out, that's when they throw this super huge party at their house with booze and the ladies in and all that.. have you guys ever wonder, where is the money coming from to pay it?.. since they cant let their parents know, so they cant use their parent's money.. savings?.. come on, unless you are some Datuk's son or some rich person's child, then maybe you might have enough savings.. but if this situation is true, then you will have like 2 or 3 bodyguards and countless of maids in the house with you, so how you gonna throw your party then without letting your parents know??.. hard right??.. AND, if you were to hang out with friends outside of house, that's fine, except, who you gonna find to hang out with?? not everyone's parents is out you know.. so people, be realistic please!!

Ways of thinking.. recently, I was introduced to this topic.. I would classify myself as a realist.. A realist means someone who looks at facts and the reality of life when going through their lives.. HOWEVER, realist has always been associated with negative thinkers.. I beg to differ.. Those who are negative thinkers, are those who constantly look at the bad or negative side of things, even if they are successful, they will look at the negative side of it.. Some have argued, that the realist has portrayed similar attributes.. In my opinion, they are not the same.. for negative thinkers, they want to look at things in a negative way.. for a realist, its not that they want to think about the pain in life, the sufferings, the fear.. but its because life is already as such.. Everyday, news on burglary, terrorists, natural disasters and many more are on papers and tv.. so for instance, how can someone not think, that there may not be a tomorrow, when there might just have a war breaking out, or a freak tsunami wipping out the humans.. how can you blame the realist for being negative, when the fact is, this may happen?.. facts, is what realist look at..

hello, now this is the REAL week 4, sorry for the mix up there.. Monday was the due date for Intro Macroeconomics.. to be honest, I didn't have that same feeling of relief as I did when I hand in my first assignment last semester, maybe it has just became my routine of life.. so, the rest of the week was just about attending lectures and tutorials and Japanese classes.. nothing special.. except the fact that I am going to library alot nowadays, influence from the hardworking Melissa I suppose haha!!

Anyway, today being friday, is an off day for most of us, so Wendy, Bryan, Melissa and I decided to go to pyramid for a movie, Click.. Click is a show about a guy who is having a miserable patch in his life, suddenly gotten himself a remote control that is able to control his life, pause it, mute it, fast forward, slow motion...everything a regular remote control can do!.. this show is front lined by Adam Sandler, the guy who acted in Waterboy, and Kate Beckinsale, who was the vampire Deathdealer Seline in Underworld and Underworld 2.. anyway, I am not gonna discuss the storyline here, since its a new show and most have not watch it.. but I won't recommend this show to anyone, because of............ ok, I dun wana spoil your fun watching it, but I just didn't like the ending of the show, that's all..

Maybe I am having post-DYP syndrome, nowadays, I cant focus whenever I play foosball in MUSA.. is it the environment? the players? I don't know.. maybe its the competitive feel that MUSA is lacking, since they try to be as friendly as possible.. I miss that surge of feeling in DYP, the excitement, indescribable!.. I don't mind having to block Mikey Tan's snake again, the fact that I am playing against him is already enough! next DYP is on the 30th August in conjunction with Merdeka Day, should I go??.. Hmm...............................

this is week 4 reporting!.. ok i know i have gone nuts with opening my post this week with that.. but yea, its the forth week of my second semester already.. and my first assignment is due TOMORROW! Macroeconomics to be exact.. not much of a worry, since I had done Economics in MUFY.. I am more concerned of the Marketing report that I have to hand in next tuesday.. I have no idea how to answer, and it has not been taught in lecture yet, and the textbook is not helping either!.. stupid subject la!.. and worst still, its a core, cannot afford to fail, haih!..

anyway, I had one heck of a night last night.. I joined my first foosball DYP competition!.. it was a Leo DYP party, so me being a Leo zodiac get to join the competition for free, so hell, why not join it for the sake of experience! Adam was not so lucky though, had to pay RM10 to join, but I am pretty sure he had no regrets!.. anyway, I thought the thing was at 8.30pm, so Adam and I arrived there sharp, but saw no one in Asia Cafe.. after a few rounds of foos, which I was totally useless, still no sign of any party, so I thought, well its ok, since I am not exactly playing well anyway.. after that played some pool with Adam as well, which I had no idea what's wrong with me! cant hit anything in!.. as we were about to leave the place because we thought there wont be anything happening tonight, suddenly saw my tennis mate Jo-veen.. and then a whole lot of people starting coming in, althought never see them before, but from their looks they are quite geng.. after asking Jo-veen, there actually WILL be a DYP competition with all the big stars in the house! after Adam and I put our names down, we started to wonder.. HOW WE GONNA PLAY WHEN WE DON'T EVEN KNOW THE PROPER RULES!! seriously, I was so worried and scared, that my hands started shaking man!.. it wasn't even that bad when I played the tennis competition for the first time.. maybe because all the big names like Shaun P'ng and Mikey Tan will be here, so super scared!.. anyway, my name was called, and was super relieved that its a doubles competition where I will actually pair with a veteran fooser! now I know what does DYP stands for, Draw-Your-Partner where your partner is randomly picked to play.. so, first game up, and I had no idea what they are doing, or what to decide when we won the coin toss, so my partner did all that for me.. I didn't even know its a best of 3 games thing!..

Alright, back to the first match, of course, having no experience in foosball competition, I made alot of mistakes as I don't know the proper way of blocking, so my opponent snaked me like nobody's business! at the start of the second game, my partner called a time out, pulled me aside and started giving me some pointers on how to properly block a shot and all.. ok, I didn't really understand everything he said, but I hope that my inner sense can produce what he ask me to do.. so, second game went underway, and I was soon able to block most of my opponent's snakes! it surprised me really, but at that point I was just focusing on blocking the shot and nothing more.. seriously, I heard nothing at that moment, 100% focus!.. with my opponent failing to score, my partner started to score for fun, and we won the second game as well.. the third game was a little tighter as my opponent changed abit on his snake and I wasn't really able to get it, but my partner did alot in blocking his pass and scoring.. and then when everyone least expect, I shot a pull and the ball actually went in.. and I didn't count the score, but that was actually the winning goal!! I was so happy, my first goal in a foosball competition and it is the winning goal!.. but by then, i was super tired man, trying to block the shots and all the concentration..

So, went and rest awhile while waiting for my next match, chit chat with Adam about his game and look at others play.. then, my partner came and told me, that our next opponent is... MIKEY TAN!!! I am only in my second competitive match, and I have to block the snake of Mikey Tan,the number one player in Malaysia, that is said to be super geng(said coz I never see him play before)! how on earth can I block his shot when I had trouble to even block my first opponent's snake which is like cheese compared to Mikey Tan!.. my partner came with the news, then went to a table and taught me how to block Mikey Tan's snake, which sounds easy, but I don't really understand.. Ok, should change that, I DONT understand at all!! I was telling my partner when it was our turn, that I don't get what he told me.. he just told me to have the fighting spirit and don't give up til the very end, just think about how to win and not how to lose!.. I took that with me into the match..

Game starts.. Mikey Tan's partner, don't know his name so just call him X.. he managed to get the ball to the front, set up for a push.. I didn't know at all how to block a push, so I just tried to move my man to confuse him, and he shot, but luckily, he overshot and the ball bounced off the tip of my goal!.. then I realise, these people are no joke man!.. then, the ball came to Mikey Tan, 1 push and boom! the ball was smacked right into my goal, I couldn't even see which hole he went! my gosh, his back man is equally stinging man!.. then, I think because of all the pressure, the next few goals was all bouncing everywhere and went into my goal.. I couldn't do anything!.. we lost the first game just like that.. The second game, Mikey Tan went to the front!.. my partner I think step up a notch, managing to pass Mikey Tan's middle man and snaked in the first two ball.. then, Mikey Tan loaded the ball in, tic-tac for abit, then i heard a smacking sound, and the ball sticked to his forward centre man, just like that!.. honestly, I had never seen anyone smacking the ball that hard and the ball still sticks to the man! I was already sweating then.. he set up his snake, and started rocking the ball.. I tried to do what my partner taught me, but to no avail.. he snaked, and I'm not joking, I felt the whole table shaking and the metal in the goal bent when his snake went in!.. heck, I couldn't even see his ball when he snake!! the rest I don't need to say, his snakes was just unstoppable, at least I cant, and we lost the game..

I tell you, even after tha game, my legs and hands was still shaking from playing with Mikey Tan.. Yes, he is THAT scary! so Adam and I then went and play a few rounds ourselves, after each suffering defeat already.. I tell you, we really played like competition speed man!.. we were playing super fast and couldn't help ourselves.. however, because we were both taught how to block snake, we now officially CANT snake each other!.. but we were just wanting to smack the ball for fun, using up our remaining energies, because we had no more games left, or that was what I thought!.. Then, my partner came and call me, because we still have another game!! oh man, I just used up all my energy and was super tired, and now I have to summon up all my energy to survive another onslaught!.. turns out, our opponent was the opponent that actually beat Adam and his partner.. man! if only Adam had won, I would be playing against him, that would be fun!.. anyway, this opponent wasn't good, but he was someone different.. plus, I was making alot of mistakes and letting alot of balls in, or rather, my opponent just pump the ball and scored four from that! As its now race to nine points, four balls is alot.. and my opponent somehow couldn't snake, so we lost tamely to them.. I felt so disappointed as it was me who made alot of mistakes.. felt like I let down my partner big time!.. well, I guess that its all part and parcel of the game, the losing part is the hardest for anyone..

By joining this competition, I really learnt alot, even though I only played behind and scored two goals, I was happy to just participate, plus its free! so, you guys should be seeing Adam and I in future foosball competitions!

Alright then, back to reality, Macroeconomics assignment due tomorrow and Marketing report due on Tuesday, better buck up and finish them now.. alrite, take care everyone, til next week!
