Oh my gosh! I can't believe how long have I procrastinated on a post here! since what, December!? Anyway, I promise I WILL update more often from now on. Now, updates on the 2 months that I have gone missing..
First of all, I didn't miss 2 months without a post for nothing, the reason being that I have been working very hard (ahem!) and diligently (ahem ahem!) during my internship in Ernst & Young. For those who don't know what is that, its an accounting firm. Anyway, there were good memories and not so good memories of course. Good memories would be the friendliness of the people in the department that I worked in (Human Capital, google it!). Seriously, I felt so welcomed working there, the seniors took care of us interns very well, offering advice and willing to teach us even though it has been taught countless of times. They are also a nice group of people that has a great sense of humour. It doesn't matter that we were interns, they treat us just the same as a staff. Bad memories would be the work. I mean, not so say anything, but it is not exactly the best work one can receive. The work is monoteneous, sometimes quite boring and can get a little frustrating as well. ALSO, they are so calculative!!! I mean, come on, Ernst & Young is like one of the largest firms around the globe, and they even rejected an expense claim for toll charges from one of the interns just because she did not attach a receipt. How do we get a receipt when we pay by Touch 'n' Go!? to further substantiate this, I have not gotten my pay for the 2nd month yet. The reason? They want to check if we had taken any stationery with us, and they will charge us even if a ruler is missing!? I mean, hello!? a ruler, Why would I want a bloody ruler? Might as well steal your client information and sell it to your rival (just a hypothetical scenario, I wont do that). But overall, I did not regret working in Ernst & Young, the experience is great, might consider coming back as an associate.
Secondly, is my blog layout. I am sorry that it did not turn out the way I had hoped for. Honestly did not think it will look this gay until I really look at it. Was actually rushing for it coz I wanted to clear one of my new year resolution 2006. Do not worry, I will look for a better blog layout. If you have came across any layout that is interesting, please let me know. Thank you.
Thirdly, in two and a half days time, I will be flying to Melbourne for an exchange program offered by Monash. Everything seems to be in order and I should be ready to go. To everyone, don't miss me (ah, as if anyone will!), I will only be gone for a year, plus some holiday in Australia so by the mid of January 2008 I should be back, mean time, email me alright! Til my next post, See ya!!
