my beloved life

Friday, May 23, 2008

So so! how has things been for everyone!! well, you can probably sum up from my exclamation marks, that Im feeling HAPPY! haha.. well, of course, that is also partly because of several good news, which I am about to share. Anyway, life in Monash so far has been going by fine, the stranger-feeling in MUSA is finally gone, as somehow (what somehow??) I know most of the people in MUSA already when I step in, of course, we all KNOW why.

Ok, first good news, did anyone read page 28 of the Star newspaper wednesday last week? if not, go to the website to check it out. Coz, u know what, ME, yes ME is in the newspaper for the first time!! yup, my team have won the HSBC Young Entrepreneur Award 2008. You cant imagine how we looked at each other when they announced that the Silver award went to the public speaking team, coz we just won Gold! and of course to top it off, we also won the Eco-Business Award, making it a cup double! ooops sorry, muz have been influenced by the UEFA Champions League, double award I mean. This means that my team will now have to represent Malaysia to compete with other country winners in the Regional competition. The best part?? Liz and I actually DONT want to win, coz winning means have to do more work when we go to HK, and I would have to defer exams and all that, so we were praying that we will get the Eco-Award and the SILVER award instead, then our prize money will be the same as Gold anyway, haha! so when we won, we were like, GREAT, now, gotta do more work, and gotta see each other often, AGAIN! haha, as you can see, we've met up so often, so sick of it d! =P Of course Im not saying Im bored of my teammates or anything, maybe we should meet up for something OTHER than work, Karaoke perhaps!? Btw, the update to my deferment of exams, Monash has agreed to let me sit for Money and Caps during August deferment exam period, and they also allow me to take Company Reporting after 23rd June, which is suppose to be my last paper. So this means that this exam period Im technically only taking 3 papers! hooray!!

The 2nd good news, is actually quite a personal thing. At the beginning of the year, I began to question my faith with Christ, coz I was thinking, I proclaim to believe in Christ, but I never do anything about it. I never really read the bible, hardly go to Church, never attended cell. And so, I was in doubt as to whether my faith is swaying. After a few months, I am very happy with my progression. Now, I have more faith in him, attend cells, pray more, and most importantly, instead of just reading the bible, I now take the time to digest and understand what the verses mean. And I think it helps that I understand the bible more, coz now I am more positive (yes rejoice, I am no longer moody and sad all the time!!) when i see things. My goal now is to serve in a ministry in Church. Bernice says there is a lack of people in the toddlers' ministry, maybe I should serve there!! (Bryan, you're gonna go and serve in the toddlers' ministry with me ok, you got no choice!!)

Of course, THIS is not gonna be a good news, its regarding the cyclone and earthquake disasters. As most of you know, the cyclone that hit Myanmar and the earthquake in China has put the whole world's eyes on them. Of course, the sad part is there was a group of friends that I know of that was in the earthquake area and til today, no news have been heard from them. After so long with no news, we have all accepted that they may have left us already. As always, seeing their parent's grieve over this is the most heartbreaking. Also, it puts all of us into perspective, that life is short. So while we live our lives,we should live life to the fullest, do our work, our responsibilities, but in the mean time, get to know more people and just chill, coz friends are the best thing in the world (2nd to God of course) and we should all just pop a beer, soda, soft drinks or whatever we feel like drinking and appreciate each others company!!

That's all for now, Ill probably be updating more often now than ever, so keep coming back k! see ya all!!
